providing you select a single phase off the 3 phase supply correctly. This 
essentially keeps it operating as a single phase coil, it would not accept 3 
phase power without modification to the Power input side of the Tesla.

The great news is if you have 3 phase power available your options to make a 
high power design with DC operation are extensive
