[TCML] Dual-triode VTTC (811A/812A)?
Hello everyone,
I was curious as to whether or not a pair of vacuum tubes which are not matched (811A and 812A, in this case) might be usable in a push-pull-type VTTC (such as the dual-811A VTTC on Steve Ward's page). As far as I can tell, the only major difference between the two is the gain, though the rated drive-power, drive-voltage and output-power (as well as dissipation) are equivalent.
If this isn't a possibility (or there's a likelihood of near-immediate failure), may I ask why?
Thank you,
- Christopher Karr
