[TCML] Re: New Flux Concentration Magnifier Primary
Added mechanical mock-up assembly, see pics below at
http://drop.io/Sparktron01
Flux Concentration Primary II.xls
Building 1/2" fiberglass thrust supports to allow lifting upper
primary ring with 3/8" fiberglass threaded rod stock with GPO3
cranks on each one. Got 20' of 5/16" vinyl tubing to insert in first
innermost turn of both primaries (distance to ground lug very narrow
so primary needs "modest" insulation between components in that
region.
IDR plate, ground threaded bolster, and ID AL busbar assembly to
be fabricated in short term. Remove two adjacent IDR support
assemblies (8 8-32 flat head nylon screws), and grounding all thread
rod (3/8-16 silicon bronze) insert IDR assembly, thread grounding
all thread rod through IDR bolster to bottom lug assembly, tighten.
Reinstall IDR support assemblies. Flip entire assembly upside down,
wind lower primary first, mount lower HV input insulator. Flip to normal
configuration and wind upper primary in same direction (hand), mount
upper HV insulator. Will connect a kelvin sense twisted pair either side
of OD of radial slot of IDR sic to allow rough gauging of IDR currents.
