Re: [TCML] Primary Coil came up short...Is it okay?

You're going to have to roll up your sleeves and go through the numbers
yourself, using software like WinTesla or JavaTC; there's no way to say if 7
turns is sufficient, knowing only what your NST is. Kinda like saying
you're having a party and need to know if 3 bottles of wine is sufficient.
It depends on a lot of other things.

Normally, you start with choosing an NST size. From that you determine what
your cap size is. For a 6/60 NST and static gap, should be in the
neighborhood of .04uF, give or take. Then you design your secondary and
topload, and from those things, THEN you can design your primary.

One thing I can say is that your primary coil needn't have such a wide
spacing between turns. You might be able to get more turns with a narrower
spacing (a 1/4" space is typical using 1/4" tubing).
