As a Type I, insulin dependent diabetic for well over 30 years, I know very 
well what DC is going through and my heart goes out to both DC and his 
family. Diabetes is an insidious disease that slowly but surely devastates 
the body and it is the leading cause of blindness in the US. It has also 
reached epidemic proportions and continues to get worse every year.

I too have had episodes in the hospital from complications from diabetes 
where I was given dire predictions. I will be holding out for the best 
possible outcome. I'm sure everyone on the list sends there best wishes for 
a speedy and complete recovery.
