[TCML] Secondary current in an old TCBA Article
All,
The old 1983 D C Cox article on coupling I mentioned on here a few weeks ago
(7th Dec titled "RE: Racing sparks Re: [TCML] Flashover Follow") (Article
found in the TCBA News Volume 3 #2 Page 12 - available on *****universe),
mentions, when referring to a "Rule #3" that:
<quote>"the maximum current flow in the secondary inductor is independent of
the effect of the primary inductor, and the current flowing in the secondary
inductor depends primarily only on the design of the secondary inductor. The
reasons for this one-sided relationship are quiet complex and will not be
discussed in this article."</quote>
An interesting comment and I wondered what was meant by the 'complex
one-sided relationship', implying something deeper is at play rather than
the obvious primary / secondary behaviour.
Thoughts from anyone who read the article, or the author maybe?
Regards
Phil
