Thank you all for the info and advice.
That would be pretty cool if I could fill the gap between the windings
and the outer tube with some sort of epoxy.
I dont know if i could get all the air bubbles out but that would be
one fairly bullet-proof secondary to have 3/16+ solid insulation over
the windings. The secondary does have a sloppy coat of varnish on it
now (ebay-looks like he used a dirty sock as a brush).
And I did get the outer tube because I was concerned about pri - sec
arcing because they are kinda close and now Im doubling the input
power.
