Re: [TCML] Varnish
The core I have is rated for 1KVA, I am NOT designing this for 15kv at 1A. So it is indeed pretty close to a Neon in nature. But thinking in about this more I realize that this core might be more useful to me as a ballast to a potential transformer. What do you guys think?
if any one is interested the core formally belonged to a 6KVA Stabiline voltage regulator.
it was a buck boost transformer that was rated for
65Vin &16Ain--->20V out 52Aout

15kV @ 1 Amp is a 15kVA transformer.. more like a small pole pig rather
than a NST (60mA@15kV is less than a kVA)
