Hi Joel,
Lets see, if you series 2 (10kv) easy- .5uf*(45 caps)=22uf= 1100 Jules-
definitely a worthy ring launching, HD disk plates, or coin shrinker.
Please
be very careful with this as it is absolutely lethal. Be sure to
discharge
the caps a couple of times. The internal resistor will discharge them
over
time.

First thing: i cannot be held responsible for anything you do with your
capacitors, but here is what i did with some of mine:
http://www.stevehv.4hv.org/MOCs.htm
As the previous poster mentioned, id highly suggest a very sturdy
enclosure
built to contain shrapnel and oil in the event that the weakest
capacitor
"lets go". Pleeeeeeeease be extremely careful with these things when
you
gang them up, there is some very serious energy storage. Other than
that,
MOCs seemed to work great for launching rings and other Not-So-Hard-Core
pulse power stuff. Basically the caps are junk anyway, so why not have a
little fun with them for awhile? Just really keep safety in mind!!!

I'm pretty certain I've seen them used in coin shrinkers.May be worth a
google search if interested. If I recall though none of the projects
I saw
used anywhere near ninety caps but perhaps you'll end up with a more
robust
end result than those before you.I would imagine ring launchers and
rail
guns are also feasible.Probably wouldn't hurt to place your caps in a
sturdy
enclosure no matter what you build.Just in case! Wyatt

A while ago I posted a question about the poor performance of my
coil, and
through the list's help, found out that microwave oven caps don't
work in
the tank circuit.
So here's my question: What should I do with 90 MWO caps? I have heard
that
they are used in voltage doublers and filters, but is there another
project
I could use them in? I have my eye on building a Marx generator, so
would
these work for that? Or any other project you all can think of?
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Joel Torgeson
