"Interesting"--that's one word for it.  1MHz is smack in the middle of the AM broadcast band.  If it puts a nice strong signal into an AM radio, I'd be concerned about the law, FCC notices of violation, tickets, fines, and other government entanglements.  A kilowatt of ragged RF pulses in the 300m band might carry for many miles and draw unwanted attention.  Sort of like shooting off fireworks in the city limits.  Sometimes you get away with it, sometimes you get a visit from the Gendarmes.  Just one more thing to worry about.
