My configuration is a bit unusual in terms of regulation. 

I'm building a two-channel active current regulator that should give   
me 0-80mA (per channel) control over a shared 20kVDC filtered source. 

A couple of very experienced coilers here suggest that 16.5kVrms (line- 
to-ground) is entirely possible (and safe -- to the xfmr at least)   
with a 14.4kVrms PT overdriven to 140V on the primary.
