[TCML] Solving the stacatto operation in VTTC CW, IGBT expertise wanted

Hi John, and all,

I wonder if something like this Fairchild NPN horizontal deflection Power
transistor would work? FJL6920

It saturates pretty easily so the 555 may drive it?? Will the 1700v floating
collector voltage be survivable? 

Comments welcome, looking forward to IGBT ideas.
