RE: [TCML] Terry Filter Resistors
Hello all,
Ok the thread has grown for awhile!. Does the Ohmite - 1 Kohm 100watt
digi-key call out make the filter an LRC or not? Let's contact Terry for his
input.
Why not take said resistor, a known capacitance, scope, and signal generator
and sweep for the resonate frequency and extract the inductive reactance?
I am trying to finish a control cabinet or I would love to play with this.

Hi Ed, Gary,
WOW! I think your right. That sure puts a damper on my multi-layer
technique! Would work in multilayer mode, but if a 1K 1/2W carbon is
measuring 184mH, then yes, all bets are off and a good lesson learned
with the 27XT (and maybe any LCR).
Excellent test Gary!
Take care,
Bart
