I am liking this. I have put together a three phase diesel genset to power
my frankenstien 6 pulse radar transformer. Can you give me more details on a
single to 3 P VFD that can handle big power. Or is this a static converter?

the Drive we use was for up to 50 hp. The cost was a lot less than paying  
for a power line.

Any 3 phase motor can be used with a VFD. Some VFD's  can be used on single

phase lines to run 3 phase motor. I did an  installation where they need
35hp

motor to drive pump. Used a Allen  Bradley VFD to do the job. Power company

upset, but had to live with  it. They wanted to be paid for running 3Phase
line.
