Thanks everyone,
I did try to build Steve's SSTC with no luck. This is mostly because of the lack of electronics knowledge. I took a basic electronics course in high school, but that was 12 years ago. I also don't have the fancy tools like an osiliscope. I hope to bring it off the shelf and complete it maybe with the help of some of the TCML members. I mainly started it because it would be a lot quieter than my SGTC. I have only been playing with coils since last winter. Is 12Kv 30mA too much voltage for my small coil? I think it is close to resonance but I have no way to tell. If anyone is interested here is a link to my YouTube page.
