RE: [TCML] MOT Resonace Reviled, Coaxial cable debate
Hi David,
Of course I meant ~1kva. I often make minor errors @ 10^3 ;-) I would love
to have such a transformer as you point out to surplus!
BTW, I have decided to strip my x-ray cable as this is potentially
"Resonance Reviled" and now convinced. I will leave 2 feet(~100pf) in tact
where it enters the HV cabinet so I can use the original X-ray Federal
Standard M/F connectors for ease of connection and easy setup. The female
makes a nice standoff inside the cabinet. I also want to look over and see
the disconnected plug or as Richard Hull suggested: "hold the plug in my
hand" (or by the cable in this case) when I go out to the TC.
Regards,
Jim Mora

2.2 kV, 1000 kVA MOT? Now that would have been one
HUGE microwave oven that came out of! I assume you meant
1 kVA or 1000 VA.
