Raw and finished copper is WAY lower than it was just a few short years ago. In fact, it's lower than it's been in quite some time. We're stockpiling cable and transformers like mad for several of our projects at work. There's a real good chance that commodities will only go up, as stimulus/pork (take your pick) money starts getting spent. I don't think we'll hit the highs we saw just a few years ago, but if you think you may want to buy copper, now may be the time.
