Folks 

We all have used the 555 timer for oscillators, strobe pulsers and 
modulators for SSTC and DRSSTC's. Below is a very interesting 
interview with Hans Camenzind, the designer and developer of the 
555 timer IC. It is by far the most popular IC EVER developed 
(over 1 BILLION sold annually worldwide; for 30 years!)
