Re: [TCML] Faraday Suit

Hi there!,
I'm aware of the Gausian Sphere / Faraday shield Idea, But was wondering what if anything to you guys feel.
small shocks? or is it totally without feeling?
Theoretically it should be nothing...
Also you are walking directly on the ground or anywhere for that matter within the HV field, but what particular precautions do you take other than making sure that all the pieces are electrically connected together... ie do you have metal on the soles of your feet as well? or do you leave the soles intact with rubber to you still have some grip....

You can view this upclose at our next Teslathon in Wisconsin, Aug. 29th.

Sharksuits are great but at $12,000 not a good investment. We made our suit
for around $150 including the aluminum plates.

Also, see Terry Blake's suit in action video at our recent Teslathon:

Go to www.vimeo.com then type in "lightning on the lawn 2008". Some
good shots of him playing in a 1 million volt field.

Does anyone have any tips for first time Faraday suit. The physics behind
it are simple but the construction is a bit more complex. Thought about
using some type of wire mesh from the hardware store. Or possibly one of
those chainmail shark suits. Any suggestions would be great! Also can you
tune a coil with just a freq counter and signal generator?
