[TCML] FreakySpeaker mk1 - A SHOCKING question! lol
Me again ;)
While I am at it! A side question! ... This afternoon while "showing
off" to some friends I got a "SUPRISE" shock that I would like to know
more about PLEASE! LOL ...
I was demonstrating how the coil can light an unconnected fluorescent
tube from a distance while holding the tube in my hand. I was holding
the tube by the glass well away from the end point and happened to
draw some sparc with it's other end from the torroid which I FELT as a
series of well placed jolts into my hand. It gave me more of a fright
than anything else but it was enough to make me nervous of doing that
again! .....
What are the ACTUAL FACTS in respect to this kind of induced shock?
What are the real world precautions and what are the ACTUAL
possibilities? I am well aware of the dangers of high voltage and even
more aware of the burns that high power RF can give and as much as I
do of course want to follow every precaution I would also like to get
as much out of the experience as possible! ..... and the "trial and
error" method in this case just somehow seems like a bad way of going
about it! *g*
Many many thanks in advance
