[TCML] Jacob's Ladder - Off Topic

I know it is a bit off topic, but I had a question about building a  
jacob's ladder, a few weeks/months, someone mentioned using a (200pf?)  
doorknob cap across the transformer outputs, and I was wondering if  
doing so is a good idea, will it help? I have two 15kv/30ma  
transformers in parallel, what size cap?
