[TCML] MMC and max voltage ratings
If the NST puts out 12kV, is it better to arrange the MMC caps in 12kV configuration, or buy a few more and make sure that the voltage rating of the MMC is (significantly) in excess of the NST output?
Teslamap tells me that the optimum static spark gap MMC is 9.3nF - which is 16 of the caps in series, giving a voltage of 32kV.
