RE: [TCML] Synch Motor



I can't vouch for whether this is a good motor or not, but consider that TTY sync motors often (always?) require a special starting relay and cap.  What would you do with a motor that has 4 wires coming out of it?  Even if the seller pulls those parts for you, you need to know how to hook it all up.

Also, it may be very useful to use the motor mount, which permits the motor to be rotated for phase adjustment.  On the ASR-33 TTY that I pulled my SRSG motor from, the motor mount was integral to the large and heavy cast aluminum base.  I hacksawed off the motor mount portion, and am very glad that I did.

it may be possible that the seller could just send the motor only
instead of the whole thing...thus lightening the weight by possibly 50%...
