RE: [TCML] NST primaries

Since the primaries were wired in parallel, each primary is for 120
volts. So if the primaries are wired in series with proper phasing, the
two together are good for 240 volts. The secondary voltage would stay at
15,000 volts.

Hi Marko,

I think this will also double the secondary voltage which should toast
it
instantly.

Hello all,

My NST, originally a 15kv@120mA, has two prmary windings and two
secondary
windings.
The primary windings are paralleled for 120v input.

If I rewire the transformer primaries in series (keeping phasing
correct)
can It be used with
240v input?

I want to do this to decrease the input current requirement.

Thanks,
Marko
