[TCML] Making a neat primary

Anyone got any tips on creating a neat primary wind? My second attempt is much better than my first, lousy attempt - but it's still not very regular.
 
I thought about having a guide made on a CNC mill that has an accurate spiral groove cut into it, feed the copper tubing into that first, then remove it and install it in the coil.
 
I've seen some really neat looking primary coils out there...
