After I saw all the corona in B&W asa 400 photos I shot with 4-8 sec
exposure time, I realized the sec coil would be slowly degraded using sharp
edged copper ribbon and quit this procedure.

On smaller nst powered coils, we just use bare 8 AWG solid ground wire from
Home Depot.  It's approx $.62/ft. and does not heat up very much on a 12/60
nst type coil.
At 120 to 200 mA (depotted, modified nsts), I use 1/4" OD refrigeration
tubing, and step up to 3/8 and 1/2" ID for all PT and pole powered coils.
