RE: [TCML] RF GROUND EXPERIMENTS
Fritz, Chip,
I wrote a scheme some time back, based on Gary Lau's, Terry and others'
designs. It had the endorsement of BartB so I guess it should be okay...

Feedback welcome, I had to stop building my coil for a while (it's
summer in UK, and it only lasts 3 weeks...)
Also: how do you know your RF ground is good enough? By measuring
resistance between the RF ground and the house ground? What should it
read?
cheers
Thomas

Hi Fritz.
My understanding of a counterpoise is that it is only attached to the
base
of the secondary and is not attached to anything else. This would allow
you to put a tesla coil on a little cart that you can move around and
give
demonstrations without having to find grounds.
The counterpoise would be located on the bottom of the cart for example.
You should be able to use the counterpoise nearly anywhere but others
can
probably give more accurate information about this.
