Also, in high humidity conditions, molecular level moisture adhesion is a
problem.
Also, sodium salts are deposited on the sec if it is handled with bare hands
--- always use gloves!!
I always use double build wire as the corona tracking resistance is much
higher than single build enamel insulation.
Not any single thing can break the camels back, but an accumulation of
problems usually is the final straw that causes breakdown.
