I use a carbide blade in a standard table saw for alum,plastic, brass, and
copper.
I also use a special ceramic blade in a standard bandsaw for cutoff work,
and for very rough cuts, as you suspected, a chop saw works fine. The
ceramic blade works great for cutting fiberglass which seems to dull
almost any other type of blade.
Then, we square everything in the mill.
