Re: [TCML] TC Newbie

I've seen Greg's coil in action, years ago. It was very impressive. I believe he used MGD bottles, which are clear. When I first got into coiling, I built numerous bottle caps, but mine were all amber glass, which ultimately failed. However, they worked just fine until they failed, then they simply cracked or punctured. No exploding shrapnel. I believe Greg is right about using clear glass, and his performance and durability is the proof. Of all the websites I've visited and coils I've seen in action, I'd have to say Greg has cranked out more sparklength with his pig powered Multi-Beer-Bottle cap than just about anyone else I've seen.
