That is a neat trigger gap approach! Interesting how the rotary trigger
circuit was used. We do basically the same today expect usually solid
state for the trigger. This gap might actually be fun to build for a
Tesla coil. It's amazing to me how often we end up re-inventing the
wheel. But actually, this might be even better than some of the SS
trigger gaps such as the Jon Tebb's circuit or similar. With access to
better electrode material that what was available in the early 1900's,
we could probably eliminate the need for the high current disc(s) and
spin off something else while keeping the rotary trigger approach.
