You can tap the MMC, but you need individually  short out the caps you are
not using with a piece of wire on each one. I am excited for you!

We're just about  to replace the static gap with a synchronous rotary gap. 

In teslamap this calls for 12 caps in series, not 16 as we have at the
moment. Is it safe to tap the mmc, or should all unneeded caps be removed?
