Hey Rob...

Looking at the trannie in question, it looks like a "lower voltage" 
X-Ray transformer.  For tesla coiling, the output is a bit on the 
"strong" side and will require design considerations above and beyond 
standard coiling construction.  As far as the price goes...  400$ ( unit 
and shipping) is about par for something in that nature. BUT, in the 
long run, setting up this trannie will be expensive. An appropriate 
container, oil, insulators, etc. to house this beast can become pricey. 
If you are looking to get into hi power coiling, check with Dr. Resonate 
for pole pig ( distribution) transformers ( 10KVA 14.4KV about 
200$+shipping). Shipping costs are usually on the steeper end for pole 
piggies due to the weight but they come complete. Figure that the 
shipping costs would be equal to or less than trying to set up a home 
for the 50KV unit. Plus with a pole piggie from Dr. Res you can be sure 
that it will work.
Final note:  I am going to assume that you have experience building 
coils and are looking for an answer to the 50KV unit...but if you are 
new to coiling, consider a lower end unit like a 15KV 60mA neon unit 
from the same seller...  get some experience before jumping into the 
killer stuff  ( and I mean killer literally).
