Re: [TCML] Transformer
Hi Rob,
As far as that transformer goes, that's not really a bad price
although you might could find a better deal if you're patient.
It looks to be a depotted x-ray transformer. At one time, I
had a locate connection to get x-ray trannies free but that
source has since dried up. The large 150 kV, 600 ma x-ray
transformer that I drive my big Jacob's ladder with I picked
up for $50 but you usually have to be patient to find deals
like this.
If you're looking for some larger, non-GFI'd neon sign trans-
formers, check these out:

Subject: [TCML] Transformer
Hello All, In my area here in Florida scrap metal prices are so high it is
basically impossible to find anything in the low budget or free arena. It
looks like I will have to buy a transformer. Which is ok by me I just
don't want to get stung. My question is what price range should I be
looking to pay for a suitable transformer. I found one on ebay

Any advise would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Rob
