Mike , the catalog says alum insert , I have two of them the next size
larger with a steel threaded insert, I use it as a base insulator for an
antenna. It does not go all the way through and the are used as buss bar
stand offs.

I've seen similar things and was gonna ask. It appears that a steel
insert is in the ceramic with threads. Is that not steel, but some
other material?
