Dave,
     If you are badly hitting stuff, you should consider running your coil
outside, or building a cage for safety sake (outside is definitely better,
as the sky is the limit).  As for why you are feeling the need for more
power and bigger sparks, Tesla coiling is more addictive than drugs, and
like the rest of us, you are hooked!  I cannot help you, there is no such
thing as TCA meetings (Tesla coiler anonymous)! Scott Bogard.
