Re: [TCML] ice cold Maxwell caps

Hi Kevin,

I've always ran my coil w/out any real concern of the ambient temperature
in regards to the primary capacitor. I used to run my original Medusa coil
inside of a (non)climate controlled shop building year round and I think
the coldest winter temps here in the Memphis area are pretty similar to those
of your OKC area locale (temps < +10*F are very rare here). If anything,
I would think that the extremes of summer heat would be of more concern
for ambient operating temps for us than the lowest temps of winter. Maybe
operation outdoors in Fairbanks, AK in February WOULD be cause for
concern on the low end of the ambient operating temperature spectrum?
OTOH, I think I have read about concern for the secondary coil form shrink-
ing in extreme cold temperatures and the secondary coating flaking off or
the secondary windings actually falling down?

Just my $.02,
David
