Hi Toni, looks like you have finally that place for all the
information you will need. The pupman mailing archive
(http://www.pupman.com/) is a good place to search for some good
information, or just post to the list any questions you have.
Wikipedia is a good source of information for certain things like
capacitors, transformers, etc.. It's good to see that you want to
learn all about how the coil operates and its individual components
before building one. That is how I started, and in my opinion is what
everyone thats wants to build a coil needs to do in order to be safe.
Not sure if it would help all that much, but my website forum has a
thread covering my entire tesla coiling experience for the most part.
The URL is <http://idw87.proboards55.com/index.cgi?board=atom&acti!

Good luck, and welcome to the pupman mailing list!

Hi total newbie here. Have been interested in Tesla's work for over 15 years
but never been able to get my hands on much information. Also finding I need
more grounding in electrics to understand what is being talked about. Any
good sources anyone could recommend? At the moment I know enough to be able
to wire up a car and other similar basic projects. And self taught in fixing
computers (read working out what is wrong and replacing faulty parts).
Thanks in advance
Toni
