There are two types of 1/4 inch copper tube. The plumbing stuff is1/4" outside diameter. The type- L- refrigeration tube is 1/4" Insidediameter. Type -L- is lovely stuff, it forms smooth bends and isalmost as beefy as 3/8" O.D. plumbing tube. Type -L- works well withNST or with small pig coil. Large boxes of tube are easier to unrollwithout disorting and work hardening. ( try Graingers)
