While I think you are probably right in regards to HV components
being accesible to the general public you might not be so
optimistic. In regards to you comment on chemicals being widley
available- the Consumer products saftey commision (which really
shouldn't have the authority) has banned sales of oxidizers and many
other chemicals that used to be common. They say that they are
protecting people's saftey blah blah terrorists etc... In short-
with the advent of the internet and as coils and components become
more redily available, careless people will get their hands on
them. As soon as people start frying themselves or people start
making home brew weapons (hopefully never) I would be willing to be
the gov't will step in (at least under the current
