Great Performance ! but don't stop at 46". The 6.5" coil has a lot more
potential. Bill Pollack and I built a 6.5" coil in 1998 that produced 72"
arc's. To my my knowledge it's a record. It was pig powered (8kw). The tank
circuit capacitor was .025 mfd. The top load was made from two lengths of
Aluminum dryer duct. One was 6" and the torid stacked on top of it was made
from 8" diameter dryer duct. We used a rotory gap.
