Tesla didn't have X-Link-Poly insulated cable, solid state devices. While  
his wireless power transmission was in its self a feat, there were limitations  
on what he could do with material available to him.
 
There are a lot of people out there that are playing with the coil. Why not  
read Tesla's notes and figure out how to proceed to wireless transmission of  
power. The answer is there, someone has to rediscover it. The news that I have 
 seen indicates they are getting close, but they have not yet achieved what 
Tesla  did.
