Hey all,

Many of you know of the awesome 1910 book "The Tesla High Frequency Coil".  
It gives complete details of building Tesla Coils from scratch, even down to 
the motor for the rotary spark gap and a rectifier for a magnetic quenched 
gap!

I'm recreating those projects in 3D CAD form, as the photos in the original 
book are a bit dark.  The CADs will allow me to make paper patterns for 
anyone with limited woodworking tools that wants to try and build one.  (I 
think it takes longer to do the CADs that the actual construction!)

The 12" coil shown above is powered by a 110V 30A transformer originally in 
the book!  The powerful discharges obtained were considered suitable for 
X-Ray and Wireless experiments.  The 7"
Coil shown in the book is similar to the LE Knott Apparatus Tesla Coil - the 
first commercial Tesla Coil from 1897:
