When I was investigating conductive joint compounds, I seem to remember
there is one that is impregnated with silver too, if you do plate your
joints. But as already been stated, silver oxide is pretty conductive anway.
Additionally, a simple mixture of baking soda and water will clean silver
tarnish without wearing away the plating I should think.

We might just consider silver plating the connecting pieces using
Cool Amp powder --- like the power companies do for large current
connections on their substation xmfrs.
