Good DR,

I don`t recall having seen anything solid state from your shop yet, so you sure start out big!.

1) Use 1/4 turn sections of the copper tubing and link each 1/4 turn section together with massive copper blocks, 5 x 5 inches square x 6 inches long.

These blocks will be quite heavy, but indicate that you have ample room for a bulky connection stealing interturn spacing.

In that case, I`d consider having machined several bayonet couplings, not unlike the ones used on fire hoses. You get the point. No problem making it all internal in the tube, and brazed in place.

insert each new section and twist 90 degrees: lock!

Piece of cake, DR.

How do you intend to generate the gate timing?

Cheers, Finn Hammer
