Hi Ed:

That was the original start cap - I removed it with the motor & relay
from the TTY myself.  Aren't electrolytic caps the norm for starting
caps?

OK. Electrolytic starting caps are common but for some reasonI've never seen one on a TTY motor. Last machine I had was a Model28 and I'm sure it didn't use an electrolytic. Gave it away sometime back so can't check. The older stuff like 15's and 14's sure used paper.
