And, look at the typical anode voltage and current, more like 1 kV at an amp. The tube is only rated at 150W dissipation in air (with the added heatsink)At first glance, this looks like a radar tube. 3 GHz, and in that use, pulsed duty wouldn't be unusual. A quick google also turns up the use of that tube in a bunch of accelerator applications.
