Even if it were possible to put the 9/30 NST's in series, the 15/60 (900 VA)
would still strongly
outperform. The total power is what's more important than the voltage alone.
Of course higher voltage does contribute some to efficiency and ease
of operation. If it was possible to put the 9/30's in series, you'd have
only
18/30 = 540 VA. This would not be able to compete with the 900 VA of
the 15/60 NST.
