sort of, it will jump about 6mm between 2 bits of wire.
6/7kv?

no this is a half dead 50kv lab inducion coil (made in
india, lol) in a neat wooden box, with the interupter now
removed and driven by a 555 ic and a 2n3055 transistor at
230Hz, square wave. it arced over internally when i was
using it's primary in series with a mot primary to to make a
varing magnetic field for a transformer experiment. took the
actual coil out and potted it in wax but it didnt help.
output is about 15kv now. the arc cooks bugs nicely...

4 blue 270v caps, 2 1kv ceramics from a cordless phone, 1
250v cap from an OLD psu. all in series. that amounts to
abou 3.5kv...
What kind of spark-performance are you getting?
out of the tc i am getting lousy 1" arcs to ground
