Richard's system used a reasonably high resistance sec coil --- wound with
#28 AWG so Q isn't the best, but it still produced 11 ft long sparks on only
9 kVA input power which is a record. This is a magnifier type coil system.

Rich is not active on the list but I think Dave Sharpe may have some of
this data.
An analysis of the linearized system shows that the effects of primary and
secondary Qs are exactly the same. For example, a system with primary Q =
100 and a lossless secondary and another system with a lossless primary
and a secondary with Q=100 produce the same output waveform. This is also
valid for any other combination of Qs.
